Reddish Men in Sheds are holding an exhibition on New Ways to Look at Bikes, which is at Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery from Saturday 28th of January to 3rd of March 2023. (Gallery open Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays.)
Reddish Men in Sheds normally fettles up old bikes and sells them on to low-income families in Reddish, or gives them away to schools. But we’ve recently broadened out to hold two art exhibitions using up old bike parts. New Ways to Look at Bikes,will be our third!
It’s an exhibition of Bike Art, using photography, painting, printworks, textiles, weaving and sculptures – and, of course, lots of old bike bits. It includes a Golden Tandem, a Goat, an Ibex, some hugely ‘improved’ Old Masters, some really dramatic photographs and our first venture into Artificial Intelligence in art.
