The Tackling Loneliness Team at the Department for Transport (DfT) are delighted to announce that the Tackling Loneliness with Transport fund is now open for Expressions of Interest.
DfT have received £5.8 million from Her Majesty’s Treasury’s Shared Outcomes Fund and are inviting proposals for pilot schemes that aim to tackle loneliness with transport.
The project will offer grant funding up to £500,000 to the public and charity sectors to run pilot transport schemes that aim to reduce loneliness. The pilots will be measured and evaluated rigorously, enabling the department to understand more about how transport can be used to help reduce loneliness, and share these findings with organisations within and outside government.
If you would like to find out more about the project and/or wish to make an Expressions of Interest application, please click here where you can find further information about the project, guidance notes on the fund and how to complete the application, and the application form itself.
Please note the deadline for Expressions of Interest is 28 January 2022 at 11:59pm.
